(Sept. 9) You can now hear "The Chemicals Between Us" at "Http://www.emusic.com" in Realaudio and MP3 formats. The first single will not be released as a commercial single, however. The accompanying video has been filmed and is in post-production, so look for it in the weeks to come.

(Sept. 10) Gavin and Robin appeared last night on the MTV Music Awards pre-show. Later Gavin and Susan Sarandon presented the award for Best Female Video, which Lauryn Hill won.

(Sept. 10) There will be an interview with Gavin available at "http://www.spin.com" today, September 10th.

(Sept. 14) Check out the Howard Stern interview from backstage at the MTV VMAs.

(Sept. 16) Bush will appear on Conan on October 20th.

(Sept. 16) Nigel Pulsford won't be touring with the band on their promo radio show tour, citing a "family emergency" as the cause. Bush will do the tour, however, with Silkworm guitarist, Andy Cohen, who is also a friend of Nigel's. The dates are as follows: 9/17 - Columbia, SC @ WARQ, 9/18 - Atlanta, GA @ 99X Big Day Out, 9/19 - Charlotte, NC @ WEND, 9/23 - Birmingham, AL @ WRAX, 9/24 - Augusta, GA @ WCHZ , 9/25 - Washington, DC @ WHFestival.

(Sept. 16) From rollingstone.com: As the late October release of Bush's third album, The Science of Things, approaches, the band has been forced to leap a small hurdle: Guitarist Nigel Pulsford won't be able to accompany the band on its brief promotional tour because of an unspecified family emergency. The band's spokesperson said that, being the "mensches" that they are, Bush preferred not to cancel their appearances at the six radio festivals, and opted to recruit friend Andy Cohen of Seattle's Silkworm to temporarily fill Pulsford's shoes. (Pulsford is expected to rejoin the group in time for its Oct. 9 NetAid performance.) Cohen began rehearsing with the band yesterday -- just a day after Bush made a splash at a Tommy Hilfiger fashion show when frontman Gavin Rossdale shouted expletives as the band finished its short set [instead of "thank you very much" he apparently said "fuck you very much"]. With Cohen in tow, Bush will head to Columbia, South Carolina, on Friday for the mini-jaunt's first show. Assuming that Hurricane Floyd hasn't made mincemeat of the South by the time Bush arrives there, a high turnout seems likely for these shows. After all, the new album's first single, "Chemicals Between Us" has enjoyed great success on alternative radio already. According to their spokesperson, the song was added by every single alternative station that reports to music trade journal R&R. Meanwhile, the video for "Chemicals" should begin airing next week.

(Sept. 18) Nigel will be participating in an online chat at http://www.guitar.com on September 23 at 7:00PM EST. Make sure to check it out!

(Sept. 22) From Spin.com: Wu Tang Bush? Bush recently finished shooting the clip for "The Chemicals Between Us," the first single off their upcoming album The Science of Things (out October 26). Band sources tell us that the conceptual clip (lensed by acclaimed director Stephane Sedanaoui) features lead singer Gavin Rossdale doing kung fu battle with "several martial arts masters," Within a parallel universe full of "geishas, children, Shaolin monks and Japanese gardens." Rossdale trained with kung fu intstructors and choreographer Tai-Muk in LA for several weeks in order to prepare for the shoot (and now, he can totally kick your ass, AND steal your girl). "The Chemicals Between Us," will world premiere on Total Request Live on Monday, September 27 at 4:30 PM. That is all.

(Sept. 23) From MTV.com: Bush's Gavin Rossdale -- Fast As Lightning? Gavin Rossdale of Bush has apparently taken up a new hobby: kung fu. Perhaps as a warning to his band's critics, Rossdale will be displaying his new skills in the video for "The Chemicals Between Us," the first single from Bush's upcoming album, "The Science of Things." The clip, which also features performance footage of the band, sees Rossdale confronted by several martial artists, including a samurai in traditional armor. To prepare for his fight scenes, the Bush frontman trained with kung fu instructor and choreographer Tai-Muk in Los Angeles for several weeks prior to filming. The video was shot last month in L.A. by Stephane Sedanoui, who has previously worked with Alanis Morissette, Bjork, and Fiona Apple, among others. The video will premiere on MTV's "Total Request Live" on Monday; meanwhile, "The Science Of Things" will be in stores on October 26.

(Sept. 24) From launch.com: When Bush guitarist Nigel Pulsford abruptly left the band to go back to England during the band's recent promo tour of the United States, the band's spokesman said it was for family reasons. Pulsford now tells LAUNCH that he returned home to make sure his expecting wife was OK during an unforeseen complication in the pregnancy. "Basically that was it," Pulsford says. "It's just coming a little bit sooner, so I had to be at home really. It's the most important thing in my life at the moment, obviously. Unfortunately, the band comes second, and everything's OK. So that's good, and we'll be having a baby quite soon. We had a bit of a scare, that was all. Everything is good now." Pulsford is expected to miss three more shows, but he says replacement guitarist Andy Cohen of Silkworm is doing fine. "He came in at very short notice, learned the songs really quickly, and has been doing really well at the shows apparently," he adds, quipping, "Hopefully, not too well." The guitarist says it was weird leaving his band. "It was quite upsetting leaving the guys in New York rehearsing with someone else. I must say it felt a little peculiar having started the band with Gavin nine years ago--to be sort of leaving it felt very odd." Pulsford will be back in time for Bush's NetAid appearance on Oct. 9. He recently released his first solo album, Heavenly Toast On The Paradise Road, on an Internet-only basis on Collecting Dust Records, www.collectingdust.com.

(Sept. 24)This is great!...From spin.com: Bush's Chemicals "Closes" Alt-rock Radio Panel: "The Chemicals Between Us," the lead single off Bush's upcoming album The Science of Things(out October 26) is the first single ever to "close" the entire reporting alternative music panel for industry trade publication Radio and Records. Great! "But, hey, Spin.com, I'm only 13 and I'm still terrified by the changes my body's going through. What the hell does all that fancy stuff you just said mean, anyway? and if you've got a second, does losing your virginity hurt." you ask? Well, kids, we don't know about losing our virginity (we're waiting till we're married) but we can explain the fancy stuff. You see, that means that every possible alternative format radio station that could have added the track this week has all at once... and that's never happened before... like, ever. "In the entire history of the alternative format of Radio and Records," the trade states,"...a band has never closed out the entire radio panel in one week. Bush has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, their importance to the format." There you go.
